Mrs. Bonert's Home Page

Hello everyone and welcome to my webpage! My name is Mrs. Bonert and I am a first grade teacher at Ed-Co Elementary. I live on a farm with my husband Jeff, two children Mason (4) and Natalie (2), and our dog Bubba. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, reading, and shopping. I am also working toward earning my masters in reading education. I am hoping to continue to learn the best ways to help students be successful readers! This is my fifth year teaching first grade at Ed-Co and I am so excited to be a part of such a great school! I love having the opportunity to work with such wonderful students, families, and staff. I truly enjoy being a teacher and can’t imagine doing anything else. Before beginning my teaching career, I graduated from Mount Mercy with a degree in Elementary Education and endorsements in reading and special education. Prior to becoming a teacher at Ed-Co I taught 2nd and 1st grade at Seton Catholic for four years…that makes this my ninth year of teaching! I am looking forward to continue working with the students and families in the Ed-Co district and watching my students grow as friends and learners.
